Information and Collection
This site, Desértico, collects personal information (name and email) when you email me, Alejandro. I will use this information to reply to your message. I save most emails (in my email client) I receive for future reference. I don't add your information to a database nor give, sell, or trade your personal information with any other person, company, or advertiser.
I won't use your personal information to contact you beyond normal email correspondence regarding your initial inquiry.
I post (some) questions sent to me on a page (Field Notes) within this site. If you provide me with a last name, I will keep this private and only use your last initial. Questions sent to me are shared in an edited format so other readers can learn from your inquiry.
When appropriate, I may post photographs you share (with me) on posts and pages within this site. I may also share photographs, your first name and last initial, and an edited version of questions you send to social media accounts I control. If I do share a photograph you shot, I will note this in the credits.

This site may use cookies, including cookies from Vimeo (a service I use to host videos), Google Analytics, and ConvertKit, a service I use to collect subscriber information for my newsletter.

Desértico collects basic information on users who visit our website through Google Analytics and Google Search Console. This information includes browser type/version, operating system, referring site, search engine referral, etc. The data I analyze does not contain any personally identifiable information. Desértico also collects and stores information such as browser type/version, operating system, IP address, referring site, search engine referral, etc., through the use of server logs. Information collected from the server logs is used for internal use only and contains no personally identifiable information.
Right to Opt Out
If you wish to say adios and do not want to receive communications from Desértico, you have a right to request that I do not contact you. To opt out of future communications, please contact me.
